I have been observing the behavior and language of Labor party supporters over the years, what I see coming from some of them is pure violence and threats of violence. One of the most striking examples is when someone busted Dr. Sam Christian’s head with a stone. Labor party leadership defended that action by coming up with all kinds of ridiculous theories as to what may have occurred. None of them openly condemned such actions.. There have been others.
Violence is defined as “behavior involving physical force intended to hurt, damage, or kill someone or something.”I read and listen with disgust at the party leadership and their supporters portray peaceful protesters who have never engaged in any acts of violence as violent hooligans and thugs. This is so wrong!
Thomas Jefferson one of the founding fathers of America had a strong belief that the proper role of government was to protect the natural rights of its citizens. What we have in Dominica today is a Government that suppresses and denies the rights of its citizens,then further violates them by labelling them as violent thugs when the protest peacefully for those rights, and unleashing a brutal propaganda machinery on them to demonize and dehumanize them.
But is it and understood that is another form of the many propaganda techniques employed by Roosevelt the dictator, and his propaganda machinery is demonizing the enemy. Demonization of the enemy or Dehumanization of the enemy is a propaganda technique which promotes an idea about the enemy being a threatening, evil aggressor with only destructive objectives. It is one used by all dictators.
Another technique commonly used by dictator Roosevelt is attributed to the Master propagandist of Adolf Hitler, Joseph Gobbels, this mantra was “ Accuse the other side of that which you are guilty of.” We see this manifested in the way Roosevelt and his gestapo tried to make the Al Jazeera documentary about Roosevelt an indictment of Lennox Linton. Every reasonable thinking person will conclude was an expose’ about Roosevelt.
Roosevelt is now accusing Lennox of selling diplomatics passports when all the evidence shown in that documentary is about Roosevelt selling diplomatic passports to Alireza Ziba Halat Monfared and Diezani K. Alison-Madueke. They are two international Criminals who bought their diplomatic passports specifically to evade the consequences of their crimes against their states.
Another propaganda technique that Roosevelt uses ever so often is to create crises and and present himself as the hero who can solve the problem. I am beginning to think that not only Roosevelt got his influence and training from the dictators from Latin America, he is also a student of Gobbels who wrote “ Crises must be prepared for not only politically and economically, but also psychologically. Here propaganda has its place.” I will continue to say that Roosevelt Skerrit is a dangerous and evil man, who takes pleasure in dehumanizing, belittling and demonizing any and everyone who dares to challenge him.
According to America’s Declaration of Independence, the common people have a right to rebel and overthrow a government that abuses its power and oppresses them. I believe this applies to all people. The abuse that the Roosevelt Skerrit regime has leveled against the people of Dominica now warrants that action from Dominicans. Instead they are being portrayed as criminal thugs!
I encourage my Dominican patriotic brothers and sisters to not allow Roosevelt and his propagandist to define who you are. You are patriots doing what you must do to save your democracy, your freedom, and your country. Your government and all the institutions that were supposed to uphold your democracy and safeguard your freedoms have failed you miserably. History will remember you are the heroes and sheroes who saved Dominica from a ruthless, corrupt dictator named Roosevelt Skerrit.
The person who promised bloodshed in Dominica is Skerrit. He is the one who set our beloved island on fire by his greed, injustice and stealing of elections. He did the crime but is afraid to do the time. But he will leave office, he cannot stay hiding behind Savarin skirt in the State Malice…aka palace. Big up to the freedom fighters of Dominica who are doing their duty to end this dictatorship.
