WAS CHASTANET DUPED BY SKERRIT?
Today December 6, 2019 is election day in Dominica.The past two days with Regional Security Services came to Dominica. The Prime Minister of Dominica Roosevelt Skerrit called on his colleagues in the region for help. They apparently came in as peacekeeping officers not knowing what they were getting into.
The Dominican people have been calling for electoral reform for over 10 years now. They have been asking for for ID cards and free and fair election and cleaning of the voters list. Skerrit has not done any of that.
This election has been the worst in terms of imported voters and bloating of the voters list. The concern citizens of Dominica fighting for electoral reform has been protesting peacefully for several weeks. It came to a head the last couple days.
Roosevelt Skerrit proceeded to declare war on these protesters. There was teargas and live bullet used on the protesters.
The day after the RSS got to Dominica , there was four hours of rain in teargas and bullets on a village at 3 AM in the morning while the villages slept. Two young people were shot in that village. The tear gas rained down nonstop for four hours in the wee hours of the morning. Women children and the elderly could be heard screaming and running for their lives. Later in the day the RSS forces returned to the village. In a video by a villager a member of the RSS can be heard saying that “we are here to kill all of you today.”
This is egg on the face of the Caribbean leaders. We have been told that they did not know the situation in Dominica and they just send their troops at the request of the dictator Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit.
Two weeks ago, Al Jazeera did a documentary revealing Roosevelt Skerrit to be one of the most corrupt leaders in the world. They featured the selling of diplomatic passport to shady criminals all over the world.
Many people have been calling on the RSS leaders to get out of Dominica. It is very concerning that the region decided to send the troops into Dominica to help support a dictatorship. We are being told that St. Lucia is now pulling out its members of the RSS out of Dominica.
But is it too late for what the RSS has done in Dominica? There has been a call for an investigation into this as crimes against humanity. A group of diasporans are investigating how they can proceed in getting this case to an international level.
The leaders and chain of command should have conducted some due diligence before deploying the RSS to Dominica 🇩🇲. What was the RSS true mission in Dominica?
