Dear Prime Minister Justin Trudeau,

I am writing this letter as  a  concerned Canadian Citizen from Colorado, where I currently reside. I was lucky enough to have made it to Canada in 1980, after fleeing murderous communist nightmare from Ethiopia Communists who ran the country to the ground from 1974 to 1991.

Canada gave me back my dignity and hope. I was also given the opportunity for an education, marriage and a profession that I love. I will remain grateful to Canada for the balance of my life. I was transferred through Met Life Canada in 1993 to Colorado where I remained to this day.

I am writing this letter to bring a matter involving a Canadian citizen named Melissa Poponne Skerrit. On her Canadian passport, she goes by the name of Melissa Cherry- Ann. Melissa is the wife of Dominican Prime Minster Roosevelt Skerrit. Mrs. Skerrit is contesting a Parliamentary seat of Roseau Central in Dominica from Joseph Isaac, in the next election on December 6, 2019.

While there is no law that prevents Mrs. Skerrit from running for office in another country, the recent investigative reporting ( Al Jazeera , Investigates Diplomats for Sale) of her husband Roosevelt Skerrit and the Island of Dominica involvement in illegal passport selling to fugitives and international criminals, will not speak well for Canada as Mrs. Melissa Skerrit a Canadian citizen, who is trying to occupy elected office in Dominica.

At minimum it would be prudent, if your good office can investigate the matter and notify me. I will share your reply with the good people of Dominica through social media. Canada has been helping the people of Dominica for a long time. The people of Dominica are in need of change and are in the midst of a struggle to rid themselves of a rogue government that has consistently, stolen elections for the last 15 years.

Respectfully

Mel Tewahade
