Dominica is dwindling into nothingness and despair under this scary regime. To make real change we must work harder and smarter than ever before. We must breakdown the stranglehold on initiative and private enterprise which is the signature of this dictatorship. To empower our people and unleash their fullest potential, we must empower them by rebuilding local government and forming community development corporations. No more should Dominicans have to walk up the steps of the Financial Center in Roseau to seek salvation.

In the first 100 days the new government should enact legislation to enhance local government and provide the basis in our law for enterprise friendly Community Development Corporations to be formes. We shall reboot Dominica by local government revitalization and Community Development Corporations (CDC). That is how we transform Dominica in way of energy, agriculture, university partnerships,information technology, housing, fisheries, light industry and empowerment of local governments and building a democratic, innovative and industrious nation. Right now the spirit of inidividual initiative is styled in what is a one party state. Unless you have a red hat, a red shirt, and blow a red horn there is nothing in Dominica for you. Your business is dead if you are not red. Your job opportunities are dead if you are not red. Your hotel project is dead if you are not red. To escape this criminalization of freedom of expression, freedom of association and freedom to enterprise imposed by the dead red hand of the reigning idol, we must empower our people in an organized fashion. That organization at the grassroots level will allow our local communities to aspire, to be self confident, to be self reliant, to engage in self funding and to spur private enterprise. The central government will take care of major issues of health, security and education, while providing an enabling environment for wealth creation. In the United States CDC entities have birth prosperity.
The Hyattsville CDC in Prince George’s County, Maryland has rebuilt a once dormant area into a vibrant and dynamic livable community by encouraging arts and science driven development.
The Hyattsville CDC works with the University of Maryland at College Park. Similarly, we will partner the various CDCs across Dominica with a rebooted Dominica State College and link them to US and other centers of academic and enterprise excellence across the globe.
No more must our Diaspora or foreign investors have to labour up to the top floor of the Financial Center and have the idol dominate every corner of our lives. After the sad scary reign we don’t want our women, young or old, to be pestered by hungry hyenas seeking gold bars from the likes of dirty diplomats Monfared or Madueke, while our communities wither on the vine of corrupt dealings.
The CDCs will be granted the degree of independence from central government and be subject to modern and transparent accounting best practices and regular audits published online. The CDC Board of Directors will be run according to Roberts Rule of Order, be subject to regular two year elections and not be subject our people to the disease of Prime Minister for life.
On Dominica we shall boost national and personal income by rebooting the principles of self-respect, self-reliance, and private enterprise. With the growth of new businesses, revived community based tourism, organic and innovative precision farming we boost foreign exchange income. The CDCs shall be part of a network linked to the Waitu-Tech Dominica Technology Park. Each CDC shall promote their community and products at Waitu Tech. Each CDC shall promote community tourism and encourage Diaspora)local investment partnerships – especially in micro finance.
The corrupt model of central government domination of our lives and doling out favors to our people has been a recipe for the current disaster of economic stagnation. This oppressive Massa government has killed initiative and innovation in Dominica. No one can act unless Prime Minister Scary presses a button. Not even his ministers can talk. We need a real Team Dominica where all ideas can contend in truly democratic fashion according to clear rules of organizational conduct as in Robert Rules of Order. To attain such agility in economic and social life we must bury the corrupt color politics bred into our culture by lazy politicians. No more must a Dominican have to Don a party color to have value to be considered worthy of a contract, job, a promotion, or a scholarship.
Our intelligent and industrious people cannot thrive under the current slave system in Dominica. They have to flee overseas where many flourish. Why not build a Dominica in which every hard working and intelligent Dominican can live, work, raise their children in freedom and in a society premised on equality of opportunity?
We must reboot DA now to attain that end!
To keep the scary one as PM for another term is to suffer the new slavery that his government has foisted on Dominicans. We must stand on our two feet as a dignified people, not live on bended knee to a stammering Massa clad in red.
We shall have a CDC in every community from Kalinago Territory to Grandbay to Portsmouth, from Roseau to Soufriere, from Marigot to Cottage. By empowerment of the masses and linking the CDCs to centers of research and development excellence across the globe via internet protocol, we shall unleash the brilliance of our people who now languish under a nightmare regime that nourishes a sick beggar mentality among our people. The scary regime’s real meaning of their NEP program is Never Ending Poverty.
To truly reboot Dominica we must inject a new character focused on the zeal to excel, work smart, be serious in all things and be sustainable industry driven.
We must cease playing the fool by jumping up with a red hat, a red shirt, blowing a red horn. We must bury the failed color politics that blinds our people and leaves the nation impoverished. Our new creed must be peace, love and unity. Our new color must be same as our pure Waitu Kubuli river water – colorless. Transparent.
To do that we have to vote out of office the inept and tyrannical government that has Dominicans suffering and fleeing their country in droves.
Let us unite around government of national unity led by Team Dominica to make this real.
