A message was forwarded to us describing plans to punish police officers who recently protested for their salary increase from government.
We publish the message in its entirety and want to ask the authorities to clear the air on these allegations. These are very serious allegations and as a disciplined force, these allegations cannot be met hanging over the heads of those officers without some official clarification.
HERE IS MESSAGE AS RECEIVED
“BREAKING NEWS😳😳 According to an inside source within SPECIAL BRANCH of the Commonwealth of Dominica Police Force, a two page list of police officers to be transferred, not to be given promotion, not to be sent on training etc was sent to the office of the PRIME MiNISTER of Dominica upon request dated 24th of NOVEMBER 2019. 😳😳😳😳WATCH OUT POLICE OFFICERS. 😳😳😳😳😳😳😳These police officers are going to be VICTIMIZED for the protest in ROSEAU on 14th of November 2019 for salary increase, recorded talking against the current government by their colleagues and perceived non supporters of the DLP. The list was first sent to the Chief for approval. These are the names of the officers who appeared on the first page of the list. They need to be concerned.
