In recent months we have seen the leader of the Freedom party Kent Vital throwing his support behind the United Workers Party, and even appearing on their platform as he did last night. Laborites are not too happy with this new development. They have put him under their guns.
The labor party has come up with all kinds of speculations, their propaganda machinery went into full gear as indicated by this post from propagandist Paul Alexander using the “Be The Change Dominica” medium moderated by Sapphire Sky another propagandist for the labor party:
They have maligned Kent Vital and accused him of all kinds of things, as they normally do to those who reject and condemn the atrocities committed on Dominica by Roosevelt and the labor party, but we would like to remind them of some things.
First of all, we the people of Dominica commend Kent Vital, for taking this principled, pragmatic and patriot stance, they recognize the fact that Roosevelt and the labor party are indeed the common and dangerous enemy of Dominica, and we must join forces, all hands on deck to defeat this enemy, and the country comes before party. Thank you for putting country before party Sir! This is what patriotism and statesmanship are all about.
Let us remind the labor party that the Freedom Party has done that before, and it was because of an accommodation between the Labor Party and the Freedom Party, under the leadership of former PM Eugenia Charles that Labor party got into power using the perception of corruption as a campaign strategy. Then Prime Minister Rosie Douglas did admit that is was nothing but a campaign strategy after the fact.
Tony could not find the corruption they spoke about. After being paid hundreds of thousands of dollars of state’s money to do so, he came back with some Tonyite cock and bull story explaining why he could not conduct the investigation that he was paid to conduct.
Now we have real corruption like we have never seen and will ever see in Dominica again. It is so extreme that it was described as hungry hyenas’ (party leaders) taking 90% for themselves and giving 10% to the country. Freedom Party as an anti- corruption party would not be true to their values if they did not collaborate with other parties to fight this cesspool of REAL corruption in Dominica, they did the right, noble and honorable thing.
The Freedom Party opportunists who joined turned Labor Party’s cesspool of corruption are the most offended. Why should they be? They are because after the hijacked the Labor Party, they became the biggest beneficiaries of the corruption. They got their cut from that 90%, they also enjoy benefits like diplomatic passports and other privileges that they fear losing at the expense of the country’s well being and the future of the next generation.
Kent puts it brilliantly “ “We need to restore our country, but the way we need to do it is through unity and I will not subject myself to hate anyone whatsoever…the Freedom Party is an independent party and we will continue to be an independent party fighting for Dominica…we will work with anyone who wants to fight for righteousness, anyone who wants to fight for truth, anyone who wants to fight for the people of Dominica…we will work with them,” Vital told the large gathering of UWP supporters and other concerned Dominicans.”
Well done Kent Vital and the Freedom Party, we salute you, and hope that you will continue working with the United Workers Party to restore our Dominica.
