OAS – US REPRESENTATIVE SPEAKS

After Francine delivered the package of lies that Tony Astaphan sent her to the OAS armed with, the United States Representative responds, and this is what he said:

“Thank you, Madam President and OAS Ambassador, the United States Welcomes the Foreign Minister Baron to the permanent council, and thank you for addressing these important issues, all OAS member states should be very proud of the role the OAS has played promoting and protecting democracy and free and fair elections throughout the hemisphere.

We strongly believe as stated in the OAS charter that democracy is the foundation of peace and stability in the region. In addition all member states, no matter the relative size or location in the hemisphere should seek to uphold the same democratic standards, principles and ideals enshrined in the democratic charter.

The link between democracy and good governance is clear, this is an equal opportunity issue with no divisions or classes, or levels of …… It is important to note that the United States supports democracy and free and fair elections that reflects the whole people and not any particular candidate.

Francine Baron has just dug herself into a deeper hole. This is the same Francine Baron who lied under oath to the Federal Department on the Due Diligence CBI story .

This is the same Francine Baron who when asked by the Leader of the Opposition for a list of Our Ambassadors replies that it was not customary to provide such a list

I’ve listened to some DLP operatives trying to make this about the OAS.

They take things for granted, and continue to skirt around to delay the process of Electoral Reform to the detriment of the peace, tranquility and better future for people in this country.

The OAS has made REQUIRED recommendations that these DLP thugs thinks is a bad idea, even when Dominicans are demanding the same.
So, in essence, Francine and the Brady Bunch would prefer not to implement the measures necessary for free and fair elections, whilts giving the false impression that the government wants it but it’s the UWP and its supporters who are the ones causing hindrances to the process.

I say, this risks instability and strife in our country –
    Pending unrest is inevitable.
However, I truly believe that the battle has already been won.

    Weve had enough.

    Ian

  4. Henry Joe says:

No electoral reform and no OAS observers is not Dominica’s choice, it is the choice of the Dominica labor party and Roosevelt Skerrit
