CHARLES SAVARIN MUST RESIGN

The office of the President of Dominica is one that should be respected and by virtue of that fact, the holder should respect the office and conduct him or her self in a respectful manner always.

Further the office requires that the holder be independent and not engage in partisanship or appear to do so. Clearly Charles Savarin does not adhere to this rule, as evidence has surfaced that points to his very partisan involvement in the day to day politics of Dominica.

In a recent revelation made to Trevor Johnson, an intimate friend of a Medical practitioner from a west coast village, shows that the man sitting in the seat of President is very involved in the day to day politics and have discussions with a group that involves Prime Minister Skerrit and other ministers of Government and party stooges.
In the chat released Charles Savarin is recorded as sharing the following

“What are the determinants of the quality of life/standards of living? The Next Level Program is commenting on the statement by Athie Martin and Eipigh Pascal today, that Dominica was better off in 2000 than today. What are the facts?

How many registered Social Security contributors were there as opposed to today?
How many cars/motor vehicles were there as opposed to today?
How many house owners with title to their lands were there then as opposed to today?
What was the quality of our roads then as opposed to today?
What was the income tax rate then as opposed to today?
How many university graduates were there then as opposed to today?
How many students were students were attending university overseas then as opposed to today?
How many students attended the State College then as opposed to today?
How many students were attending secondary school then as opposed to today?
What was the air access situation then as opposed to today.
What was the quality of health centers then as opposed to today?
How many hotels were under construction then as opposed to today?
Etc, etc.”.

Clearly, this is not the conversation of a neutral arbiter or someone who should be seen as being a stabilizing force when Dominica has challenges to deal with.
The chat also reveals that Savarin is being egged on by one of the apologists for the DLP, when he says in response to Savarin, “Very Pertinent Factors of Comparison Mr President. But i am sure they Will not use these Objective Criteria to Conclude”.

Dominicans must now decide whether they want this clearly partisan and biased individual to continue to remain in the seat of the President, or demand his immediate resignation, citing overt bias and his obvious inability to steer Dominica away from impending crisis.
Dominicapatriot will continue to follow this story and will reveal more of the conversations if that becomes necessary.

  1. Anice John says:

This president was appointed by one man to do his bidding. He is there holding on for when Roosevelt ready to be President. Is not today we have a dictatorship in Dominica.
